Podcast 133: Just Can't Get Enough Of The Thai Tims PDF Print E-mail
Written by Eddie Pearson

podcast-badgePaul and Ian from the Good Child Foundation join Eddie this week and after a short discussion regarding the events at Tynecastle they move onto much happier topics such as the work of the foundation and the joys of cheating at baseball. They discuss the impact the foundation has upon the lives of children with Downs in Thailand and the difference doing something as simple as singing Celtic songs has made. They remember Reamonn Gormley and talk with fondness of his time at the school and the impact he had upon the kids. Then they discuss the new single which you can buy from itunes or napster or emusic and the improvements they hope to make to the school with the proceeds. If you haven't bought a copy yet go do it now and then come back to us.

Eddie then finishes with a rambling piece on Neil Lennon which doesn't really say anything new but he felt better having got it off his chest.

The Human Torpedo returns this week another tale from the Celtic wiki -"We Never Walk Alone."

Exactly right Eddie with your sentiments regarding Lennon at the end.

The media are just as culpable in my view. Last night Sky's coverage had the intro with a still of Lennon's face in black and white then his eyes turning red...........literally "demonizing" him. Surely given everything that has gone on with regards to Lennon , that intro was more than irresponsible.

The media have created a "psyche" clearly displayed by Derek Johnston's commentary on the assault last night. Rather than talk about what instigates all of this and why it is happening - all they seem concerned with is Lennon's reactions to it.

They are every bit as guilty as the maniacs who send the letter bombs and try and attack him.

Just wanted to say I hate you eddie Pearson, you made me tear up at work while listening to the Thai TIms guys, then made me feel bad because I'm sitting in a cushy office, living the high life while there are real men out there helping teach wee disadvantaged children.

Hope you're proud of yourself!

PS in all seriousness, that was great. The guys are doing sterling work. I did tear up when they discussed Reamonn's death.

All the best.

Dont think there are any words that can say just how good that was,
as my Father once said to me outside Paradise when giving money to a charity
"Always back the UNDERDOG"
Hail Hail
