Click on the pic to enlarge it and have a bash at answering the questions. I’ve put in what I think are a couple of stinkers (although that remains to be seen from any answers ) so have fun, after all it‘s meant to be light hearted. As usual the answers will be provided in due course and the good news is that you can‘t google the answers but the pictures will hopefully bring back fine memories from what is now getting to be a distant era. Anyway, here goes….

Pic 10 shows Celtic away in Europe. Who are the opponents and who is the Celtic number 16 at the back post?
Pic 11 shows Ronnie Glavin scoring a penalty at Love Street in April 1978. What was especially significant about this goal?
Pic 12 is from a European Cup away game and shows Billy McNeill on the attack. Who are the opponents and what is the name of stadium?
Pic 13. Bobby Lennox is seen in this one. Which away ground is this?
Pic 14 sees Jinky at Ibrox Park. Who is the Rangers keeper on the ground?

I was maybe at a bit of an advantage on one of your hard ones.
I was in the same year at St. Margaret Mary's as Frank Welsh, king of the treatment table.
2. Kilbowie and I think it was unusual because it was our first ever goal against them.
3. Definitaley Graeme Payne not sure who the other guy is - maybe Archie Knox, maybe Watty, maybe Narey.
4. I think that's a player called Willie Templeton.
5. Not an easy picture but I think it may be Joe Craig
6. Definitely Cappielow - I think the keeper is Dennis Connaghan.

I remember Frank Munro - he was very slow at the back.

Frank Welsh was the more promising of the 2 young centre backs in the reserves who were supposed to replace Big Billy in the early to mid 70's. Frank was troubled by an unexplained groin injury and was never fit to kick on from his debut, I think the pic above is from his only first team game.
The other reserve was big Roddy McDonald who went on to get a fair share of games but Frank was the better prospect IMO.
