It’s June 17th, only four weeks ago we were at Hampden beating Motherwell, to win the Scottish Cup and in just 5 weeks time, we will be at Easter Road, kicking off our 2011/12 SPL season. The SPL fixtures for the forthcoming season have been released within the last half hour and, we start away at Hibernian, followed on 6th August by a another away game at Aberdeen, with our first home game not being until 13th August, against Dundee United. I did read on the internet last night that the fixtures would give us a tough start, to “teach us a lesson”……… Well let’s just see. You will notice that there are only 32 fixtures listed, we need to find a date for a home game against Dunfermline, which would have been played on July 30th, when we are in Dublin. We are scheduled to make the trip to Ibrox on 17th September and will have them visit Celtic Park for the first time on Wednesday 28th December, as reported earlier this week. You can analyse further yourselves, to see whether we will be at home or away following our Europa League, Thursday night fixtures (should we get there) but I thought for now, I’d simply get the fixtures up on the site. So here they are listed below, home fixtures are in Bold text, and as per usual, most away fixtures will be changed for TV. If you’re interested, Comical Ally’s men will start at home to Hearts. You can check out the full list of fixtures here.

As a result of the incident, Celtic's ticket allocation will be reduced by around 400 for the next match at the Gorgie ground on 1 October to create two 'clear' zones in the Roseburn Stand."
Pardon? Am I missing something here? Here's me thinking the guy who attacked Neil, ran from the area of the ground where the Hearts supporters were sitting.
