The Top Ten Moments of 2010 PDF Print E-mail
Written by Eddie Pearson

It had been our original intention to talk about our moments of the past year on the end of year podcast. We had planned on talking about the moments which defined the year for good or ill. We crowdsourced some thoughts from twitter and chatted away

Unfortunately the entire audio recording was gubbed. So we'll try and do it this way instead. Here's ten things I'll remember about the past year.

Number ten:

Dim lights

Putting 9 (nine) by Aberdeen.

Number nine :

Dim lights

The rise of the Green Brigade (just watch out for those ADHD tendencies lads.)

Number eight:

Dim lights

The signing of Gary Hooper.

Number seven:

Dim lights

The doing against Utrecht.

Number six:

Dim lights

The goals of Paddy McCourt.

Number five:

Dim lights

The defeat to Ross County.

Number four:

Dim lights

The defeat to St Mirren

Number three:

Dim lights

The signing of Robbie Keane

Number two:

Dim lights

The sacking of Tony Mowbray.

Number one:

Dim lights

Dim lights

The appointment of Neil Lennon.

What will you remember from 2010?

The strike that ended in the dismissal of Shuggie by the SFA and the subsequent 'retirement' of Dougie Dougie. The lengths at which non-Celtic supporters went to defend these disgraces to their profession was reflective of a malaise that can only damage the Scottish game, which is hardly in fine shape as it is.

End of year podcast is currently a muffled mess. I've got a couple of audio bits that I'll stitch together like frankenstein's monster and get something out today hopefully.

That my highlights are dismissals from 2 SFA clowns shows it's been a desparate year - if my kids ever ask me what it was like in the 90's, I can point to 2010 as a pretty live example.
