16 Years ago as I write this, before the internet and even before the days when people like us had mobile phones (but not before the days people wore Haddows bags as a makeshift rain hat) we all waited up until close to midnight to see if Fergus had saved us. We need a second coming! Moving forward to the present day the board need to do SOMETHING to avoid a drop in season book sales of about 15,000 next season. As Eddie would say on Twitter – surprise surprise?
For the purposes of betting on the rest of the season I’m going to gamble based upon the way I think we can play with the attacking options in the team. In addition to our Scottish nonsense, this week’s Paddy Power Bulletin looks toward the weekend’s FA Cup actions. For the Quarter final stage there is betting on which team will score the quickest goal or pick up the quickest card plus which game will have most goals as well as odds on an all-London final and an all-Birmingham final. For the Chelsea v Stoke game Paddy Power will be refunding losing first/last scorer, correct score and scorecast bets if Frank Lampard scores the last goal. With the FA Cup and Premier League both having four games each over Saturday and Sunday there is also betting on which of the two will have most goals in their competition over the weekend and which will have most red cards. Portsmouth and Birmingham also start a back-to-back double header with Paddy Power betting on the double result of the Saturday and Tuesday games and whether a Portsmouth or a Birmingham player will score in both games. By the sounds of it, it'll be best for all parties. I'm actually a little worried about Sunday. Falkirk will be fighting for their lives and if the players looked so heartless and disorganised against Rangers in a do or die title match then playing to secure a distant runner up spot will hardly rile them. Interesting and very disappointing times.
There are plenty of things in my life that are bright but funnily enough I don't come onto a Celtic fans site to discuss them. Instead I come on here to, wait for it.....discuss Celtic. And there is hee-haw bright about Celtic at the moment or has there been for some time.
Nothing to worry about???? For fucks sake turn it up Danny and have a look at the league table. Honest to God!
There are more important things to worry about but this is a Celtic website about Celtic who are a football club who play in the SPL. That's why we come here to worry about them. The more important things you feel are more pertinent would be better discussed on websites concerning them and not one which deals with Celtic football club, a football team that play in the SPL!
Ach away and gee us peace ya big wayne!
